Done In A Day (DIAD)
Our Done In A Day (DIAD) program provides JLGP members with an opportunity to make an immediate difference in the community as most projects are completed in one day and they directly benefit at-risk women and children in the Greater Princeton area. Some past DIAD projects include:
- packing and decorating lunch bags for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen
- decorating the pediatric wing of the Capital Health Medical Center
- organizing and implementing Stuff the Bus, an event that helped children from lower income families return to school with enhanced self-esteem and a backpack full of school supplies
- organizing and holding a holiday party for RISE clients, including a photo op with Santa
- collecting diapers and food items for the pantries at Home Front and RISE
- coordinating and managing rest stops for the ADA’s Tour de Cure and Susan G Komen Foundation Race for the Cure events
