Provisional Projects
The sun was shining on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 as the JLGP Provisional Class held a science day for over 60 children ages three to five years old at Better Beginnings Child Development Center located in Hightstown, New Jersey. Spring was the theme. Activities included an interactive reading of Planting a Rainbow by Lois Elhert, creating butterfly clothespin magnets and learning about gardening by planting popcorn which they will watch grow. Snacks of “dirt and worms” (crumbled Oreos, chocolate pudding and gummy worms) enhanced theme. Each child received a copy of the book that was read, a science project packet, and a bag of groceries to enjoy with their families at home.
It was a great day. We are The Junior League!
